Rumble Fighter, Battle System, and Arcadishness

Hey, whazzup? Aquarius here with Tuesday's post. And I - ACTUALLY HAVE SOMETHING TO SAY THIS TIME, so continue reading.

Well, the first thing I'd like to say is that I actually found an MMO I might stick to. There's this 3D fighting game that my friend Dvv introduced me to, and I find it highly addicting. Ok. Supnitle made alot of progress on the battle system, *cough*SURPRISINGLY*cough*, so I merged it with the current movement system. He says there are still a few collision bugs when it transfers from the overworld to the fighting screen, but he's done a good job on resolving some of them. It's still far from completion, but at least we're getting somewhere.

Here's a minor spoiler for one of the gameplay features: There will be arcades scattered around the cities, which have playable classic games. I made a Pong remake that will be playable in the arcades, but there are still 2 minor bugs and some tweaking to do.

So yeah, there's a solid blog post for once. Oh, I almost forgot... I decided every Tuesday will have a "VG Music of the Week" in my post, so here it is :3

Whoops, almost forgot to make a post for today! Everything's going along pretty smoothly currently. Hunter's sprites are finished (courtesy of Gun6), and now being touched up by my friend Bane. Next Tuesday, I'll post some sprites made by Gun and Bane to give you an idea of the graphic style the game uses.

As for the battle system, not much has happened, but Supnitle's helping to remake it. We haven't made much progress yet, but we're off to a good start.

Other than that, not much to say. So, bai.

Nothing. Nothing at all.

Nearly nothing has been updated since a week ago. I'm pretty much taking a break from this as of now, but I'm probably going to remake the battle system.

The reason I'm remaking it is because SOMEONE, I'm not saying any names, SUPNITLE, is too sloppy with GML and creates a minimum of 3 controller objects for each single object... So I'll be remaking the entire battle system, and then I'll get back to the overworld system.

Oh Noes D:

Hey, it's Aquarius here. Sorry guys, I'm a day late for the Tuesday post. Buried in school work mostly.

But don't worry, I have some updates on Undeceased still. I finally got around to implimenting the enemy AI (Not the battle system part) for 2 enemies. One of the enemies tends to amble around in random directions, and the other starts to chase you around if you get too close.

Aside from that, I finally got the running system in. There's a normal movement system that goes kind of slow, but if you hold shift while walking, you go almost twice as fast, which is useful when running away from the enemies that chase you.

So, that's about all I have to say about Undeceasef for today's post. BAI.

Uncreative Blog Titles Strike Again!

Aquarius here. Yesh. So, just wanted to say a couple updates. Nothing to say about UD, as I didn't add anything to it other than add scrolling.

In other news, I just got a new printer that is also a scanner AND  a copier. I might post some of my sketches some time, so be sure to cover your eyes on Tuesdays. Not much to say regarding UD, so I guess I'll work on it over the week and post my progress.

We must go back! Back! TO THE FUTURE!

... Yeah, how you could go BACK to the FUTURE always confused me. I only watched the movies as a kid, and didn't understand it much. Whaaaaaaatever.

I'd also like to say WELL TOO FREAKING BAD IT COMES OUT OF HIS FOREHEAD, STUPID AQUA MAN! *Throws tin can lids at him*

So... This isn't pointless. I'm going to say what I might be doing after Undeceased. I dunno what aqua man's gonna do, but I can edit this later, hopefully.

1. Fix up all the really crappy old games I made. Seriously. It would be a fun project, revising all my old work.

2. Attempt to finish Kodeko. The game actually looks semi good. So I should finish it.

3. Completely rewrite Fire Emblem Platformer.
...
YES. AGAIN. This is the freaking 4th time I've redone this series. Seriously. But I've learnt alot, so this is hopefully the last time.

And speaking of Fire Emblem...

4. Make a Fire Emblem Engine.

... HOLY FREAKING CRAP.

I'm pretty sure this is actually beyond my skill level, but I have some basic ideas of how it could be done. I think I may actually finish.

Another Post?

Y helo thar. Aquarius here again. Just wanted to say a couple things. Well, I FINALLY fixed the collision problem. This means no moar fixed movement, and we can finally move on to another part of the game.

The other thing was that YES, today IS a holiday. Labor day. Yesh. That is all. And now, I shall eat pancakes. This is Aquarius, signing out.

PS. Oh, and if I ever say 'the game', I'm probably talking about whatever our current project is. Its a bad habit :/
